Centenary Year

General

The committee will be looking at a few features to enhance the course and clubhouse for the year and indeed for the future. Plans are underway to provide feature lighting under a number of the large trees around the course which will be visible from the clubhouse – watch out for this in the months to come. The centenary committee will also be suggesting to the club council that options & costs to improving the balcony be looked at.
A few small corrections are being done to dates represented incorrectly namely on the club flag and on the carpet in the entrance hall. New flags are also being sourced as the current flag is a little threadbare. The current club crest is being reviewed to improve it without any radical changes .. we hope to have views of this in the next few weeks for consideration.
Some enhancements to the offering to the member are being investigated. We are costing the option of offering a centenary diary with club fixtures on payments of sub as a replacement to the current fixture book. Perhaps a centenary bag tag could also be offered to members depending on cost.
To mark the centenary year we are currently sourcing costs for medals to be presented to the winners of the monthly medal competition. These will be limited edition tokens and will be appropriate to the events being
Club teams will not be forgotten and it is hoped that we can secure a sponsor so that we can provide a club jumper and/or club polo shirt to every person representing the club for the centenary year.
