Centenary Year

History
We have so far established that golf was first played in Garryhinch in the last week of November 1908, we are endeavoring to establish the precise date.

Old photographs from through the years are being sought so that we can once again adorn the walls of the club house with the history of the club.
We are also in the process of cataloging all the trophies awarded by the club and having these on constant display in the club. To this end it is the intention of the committee to have presentation cabinets installed in the club house.
A number of people have said that they have old golfing memorabilia which they would make available to the club should an appropriate display be available – with the installation of the new cabinets we hope to have these on show. On this topic if you have anything associated with the club or indeed associated with the history of golf i.e. old clubs, golf balls, programs from events, trophies, documentation etc. etc. we would much appreciate if you could make it available to us either for permanent display or as a temporary loan to the club for the year.
