Portarlington Golf Club are indebted to Michael Moore for his
ongoing sponsorship of the trophy which bears his name.

Michael is a long time member of the club and held the post of
captain in 1997. He is widely respected in both business and
social circles and is a major supporter of activities in the
club.

The Michael Moore interclub competition is widely supported with over 60 clubs entered over the past few years. The Trophy is for the higher mens handicaps and is always a keenly contested tournament.
The final is held in the club in September and it is one of the golfing and social highlights of the club calendar.
